Portable folding electric wheelchairs for adults

A folding electric wheelchair gives you the independence of a power chair without giving up the car, the cruise or the weekend away. Every chair in this collection folds in seconds, runs on a removable lithium battery and is driven with a simple joystick, so you can move through the house, the store or the park on your own. Below is how we help customers in Santa Ana and across the US pick the right one.

1. Start with how much you can lift

If you or a caregiver will lift the chair into a trunk, weight comes first. KANO is our lightest portable electric wheelchair at 35 lb, RAGER weighs 40 lb, NORA 43 lb and ARTEMIS PRO 50 lb without the battery. These are the models people mean when they search for a small electric wheelchair for adults or a portable motorized wheelchair. Read more about how much a power wheelchair weighs.

2. Match the range to your day

Lighter frames carry smaller batteries. Around 12 miles per charge (KANO, ARTEMIS PRO, LEOPARD) covers errands and most outings. For full days outdoors, WOLF and SHAWK reach up to 25 miles and PANTHER 18 miles. Cold weather, hills and rider weight lower the real-world number.

3. Check the weight capacity

Travel chairs are rated for 220–265 lb. Heavy-duty models carry more: COBRA 300 lb, WOLF and SHAWK 330 lb, PANTHER 400 lb. See all heavy-duty power wheelchairs.

4. Pick the comfort features you need

• Reclining backrest for long sitting – SHAWK.
• Remote or automatic folding – WOLF remote and auto-folding models.
• Splits into two pieces for easier lifting – COBRA.
• Carbon fiber frame – LEOPARD.
